These were Paul Senseman's words, as quoted in the USA Today, in reference to a new immigration law that will go into effect at the end of July. This new law, proceeding the SB 1070 law, will require police officers to check on the immigration status of any person they deem "reasonably suspicious" in Arizona. Huh? What does that mean? Will someone have to look a certain way, talk a certain way, or walk a certain?

Personally, I'm not oblivious to the oppression that still exists in our beloved America today (sarcasm ensues), but all the political happenings in Arizona are funny business. What are they trying to prove? Is their ultimate goal to kick out more than 50% of the population. I don't know about you all, but looking at my family, I know there are a good number of members who immigrated to this country and may not be citizens, but are legal residents. Do "the powers that be" in Arizona realize how this will affect the state in more ways than one, specifically economically? I've seen arguments that the point of the law is to to protect citizens from crimes and gang related situations caused by illegal immigrants. Aren't crimes committed by all types of people anyway? All these questions are brewing in my head, trying to find answers.

There has been much controversial drama surrounding Chris Brown and the actions that took place on February of 2009 with former girlfriend Rihanna. No, I do not agree with Chris' actions. I believe that what he, AND she (Rihanna), did was completely wrong. It should have never happened. Coming from first hand experience on what it is like to be in a domestically abusive family, I think I am able to make an educated opinion on this kind of situation. We should not immediately judge the men AND women who take upon abusive actions towards their domestic partners. On the contrary, we as a community should start with forgiveness and continue to work with these people on ways to control their anger and avoid future unnecessary mishaps.

As a Chris Brown fan, it utterly annoys me when people come to me bashing Chris Brown. My take on it: get over it. "I like it him, you don't. Good. Let's move on."

Finally, Chris Brown has undeniable talent. He can sing his butt off, he dances very well (refer to MJ tribute), and can create/write his own music. He's a triple threat (POW!) He deserves all the positivity in his life and the space to continue to grow as musician.

So yesterday was Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day all the beautiful Moms out there doing your thing raising kids to be like me and Pop P. Without ya there would be no us. Since I gave moms their due b4 I will not doing it again but I will big up ladies in general this week. Because ladies you are so beautiful and that doesn't matter the race creed or color. But yeah ladies thank you for everything and you deserve all the props in the world. Esp our respective ladies...Becks (Papa P) & Ra Ra (Drizzy). You girls are the shit ya diggg. So here is to ya Dat Chick of The Week or should I say Dem Chicks of The Week. Congrats ya deserve it.

So I missed the first week of May....my fault blog world....I'm slacking over here I know.....So I was thinking everyone knows the quote "April showers bring May Flowers." With that being said this week's DDOW will go to none other than Mary Jane. A flower in its own sense helps with cancer, you can make clothes from it, and it gets you high. So the first non-human to receive the DCOW award, none other than Marijuana itself......give it up to the drug that will soon be legal everywhere.
